Photography
The principles, techniques and materials used in conventional photography are taught. The Lower School Course has a high practical content and the students experience creative and formal activities to develop basic skills and techniques in this art form.
Students learn –
- A variety of camera techniques to demonstrates balance, harmony and tonal qualities.
- Dark room techniques are taught to produce creative prints
- Digital photography is introduced in this course too.
Upper School Photography includes the development of the scope and potential of photography, including an understanding of the design process.
Students learn –
- Solution to problems through a wide range of practical experiences
- Black and white photography techniques
- Traditional and digital skills
No Prerequisite for Visual Arts Technology subjects are required. The skills learnt are applicable to leisure time activity, assist with tertiary studies or lead towards various careers in the photographic industry.
