Information Technology
The Information Technology area of study provides students with the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in the use of computers.
The Lower School program introduces students to the computer technology and develops skills in the use of common productivity tools including spreadsheets, databases and multi media programming. In Year 10 students are introduced to programming.
The Lower School Programme consists of –
Year 8 – Information
Year 9 – Computer Studies (Information Processing)
Year 10 – Computer Studies (Information Processing)
Computer Studies (Programming Principles)
Senior Students enrolling in MSHS’s Upper School Programme, Years 11 and 12 will study the following areas –
- Personal Information Technology - Year 11
- Industry Information Technology - Year 12
- Busienss Information Technology - Year 11 and 12
The Course in 2007 will taught as the Applied Information Technology Course in Year 11 and will continue into Year 12 for 2008.
Information Systems Course will be taught as the Computer Science Course of Study in Year 11 and continue in Year 12 for 2008.
