The curriculum in this subject develops life skills, assisting our students to live independently during their adult life.
The Year 8 Course – Technology for Living focuses on Foods and Textiles. The emphasis in this course is on developing skills and knowledge of the students to assist them in choosing to live a healthy lifestyle.
Our course continues with studies in -
- Year 9 – Food Technology 1 and 2
- Year 10 - Food Technology 3 and 4
The Upper School Course – Year 11 and 12 consists of Independent Living with the main focus placed an Adolescence and Food contexts.
Textiles Technology Course concentrates on developing creativity skills in our students.
Our course provides the study of -
- Year 8 - Textiles Technology 1 and 2
- Year 10 - Textiles Technology 3 and 4
Child Care Courses.
This course explores the issues related to parenting and the needs of children. Knowledge gain in this area of study helps students to understand the challenges of parenting now and in the future.
This course of study includes –
Senior Students, Year 11 and 12-
- Year 9 - Child Care 1 and 2
- Year 10 Child Care 3
Early Childhood Studies. This course has a career focus on working with children and the child’s developmental stages.
